Hilma A. “Tina” Weir, age 90 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully April 25, 2024, at the Getty Street Assisted Living in Sauk Centre.

A memorial service was April 30 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with the Rev. Marty Porter officiating. Inurnment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre.

Visitation was Tuesday at the church.

Hilma Albertina Tenhunen was born Dec. 4, 1933, in New York Mills to Anders Oskar and Hilma Maria (Perkiö) Tenhunen. On Feb. 2, 1957, she married Harold Weir at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.

Mom and Dad farmed 160 acres southwest of Sauk Centre with 100 head of registered Holstein cattle, for 26 years before retiring to enjoy lake life in Sauk Centre and a passion of both — fishing.

Tina enjoyed farming, animals, knitting, crocheting and flea marketing. Also, the end years loved to go for drives in the country.

Survivors include her son, Duayne Weir of New Hope; daughter, Kathy Murphy of Augusta, Missouri; grandchildren, Jesse (Jessica) Murphy and Celeena Murphy; great-grandchildren, Stella, Orion and Maverick.

Tina was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Weir; parents; and siblings, Aina, Andrew and Charlie Tenhunen.

Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
