1. YOU ARE BEING SUED. The Plaintiff has started a lawsuit against you. The Plaintiff’s Complaint against you is attached to this summons. Do not throw these papers away. They are official papers that affect your rights. You must respond to this lawsuit even though it may not yet be filed with the Court and there may be no court file number on this Summons.
2. YOU MUST REPLY WITHIN 20 DAYS TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS. You must give or mail to the person who signed this summons a written response called an Answer within 20 days of the date on which you received this Summons. You must send a copy of your Answer to the person who signed this summons located at: 508 Main Street South, Suite 5, Sauk Centre, Minnesota 56378.
3. YOU MUST RESPOND TO EACH CLAIM. The Answer is your written response to the Plaintiff’s Complaint. In your Answer you must state whether you agree or disagree with each paragraph of the Complaint. If you believe the Plaintiff should not be given everything asked for in the Complaint, you must say so in your Answer.
4. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CASE IF YOU DO NOT SEND A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO THE COMPLAINT TO THE PERSON WHO SIGNED THIS SUMMONS. If you do not Answer within 20 days, you will lose this case. You will not get to tell your side of the story, and the Court may decide against you and award the Plaintiff everything asked for in the complaint. If you do not want to contest the claims stated in the complaint, you do not need to respond. A default judgment can then be entered against you for the relief requested in the complaint.
5. LEGAL ASSISTANCE. You may wish to get legal help from a lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer, the Court Administrator may have information about places where you can get legal assistance. Even if you cannot get legal help, you must still provide a written Answer to protect your rights or you may lose the case.
6. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION. The parties may agree to or be ordered to participate in an alternative dispute resolution process under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. West Central Education District
Board Meeting Minutes
Date: November 21, 2016
Location: Sauk Centre District Office Board Room
Board Chair Funk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members Storkamp, Schuster and Winkels were in attendance along with Superintendents Huot, Westby and Johnson; WCED Director Fevig, Administrator McLellan and 4 WCED staff members as visitors.
Schuster moved, Winkels seconded to approve the agenda. Motion carried unopposed.
Under reports, Janel Bitzan from BerganKDV reported on the audit for 15-16. After some discussion, Winkels moved, Storkamp seconded to approve the audit report for 15-16 as presented, motion carried.
Also under reports, updates were provided for the 3 WCED programs.
Next, under New Business, Fevig presented 3 policies: 506 Student Discipline revisions, 520 Student Surveys-new policy and 721 Uniform Grant Guidance-new policy. After some discussion, Schuster moved, Storkamp seconded to approve the aforementioned policies, motion carried.
Fevig presented a proposal from BerganKDV for a 1 year or 3 year contract. Decision was made to table the motion until the January meeting so the Sauk Centre School Board can determine their contract agreement. Considering the shared Business Manager between Sauk Centre and WCED, the two entities have agreed to use the same auditing firm.
Under Consent Agenda, Storkamp moved, Winkels seconded approval of the consent agenda including board minutes from September 19, 2016, balance sheet and Bills Payable #21384-21452. Motion carried.
Lastly, the board reviewed change of location for January 26 meeting to Melrose. Fevig thanked John Funk and Jeff Schuster for their input and contributions to the WCED board.
Funk adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR QUOTES
2017 MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
Notice is hereby given that the City of Sauk Centre will accept sealed bids for a full depth reclamation and overlay of approximately 2520 SY of existing bituminous along with incidental repairs to storm sewer and sanitary sewer. The project will include an Alternate for an additional 2000 SY of full depth reclamation and overlay.
A copy of the specifications, work detail map and bid form may be picked up at the City Administrator’s Office, 320 Oak St. South, Sauk Centre, MN 56378 or can be obtained at www.ci-sauk-centre.mn.us. Sealed envelopes shall bear the inscription “2017 Mill and Overlay”. A cash deposit, certified check or bond for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany the proposal.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of twenty (20) days after the date set for the bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity. City also reserves the right to increase or decrease the scope of the project due to budgetary considerations at the same price per unit. Bids will be accepted until Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at which time they will be publicly opened by the City Clerk/Treasurer and the Public Works Supervisor. The City intends to consider making an award at its March 15, 2017 Council meeting.

The Board of Appeal and Equalization for Sauk Centre will meet on 4/17/2017, 1:00 -1:30 pm, at Sauk Centre City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation and classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.
