Streeters win second straight

Playoffs will start Oct. 25
The Sauk Centre football team is playing their best football at the right time.
Playoff time.
In their last regular season tune-up before the playoffs start next Tuesday the Streeters held on to defeat Benson 30-27 Wednesday night in Sauk Centre.
Sauk Centre had four different players reach the endzone in the game. The win was the second straight for the Streeters who improved to 3-5 on the season.
The game started out like many of the games for Sauk Centre, they fell behind early.
Benson scored on their first possession of the game and led 6-0 after they missed the extra point. But it didn’t take long for Sauk Centre to take the lead for good. Simon Weller’s 28-yard pass to Royal Weber was a big play as they marched 79 yards before scoring on a 12-yard touchdown run from Dylan Haskamp and with Hunter Fletcher’s extra-point led 7-6.
