Marilyn M. Nathe, age 67, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully Oct. 5, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Sauk Centre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with the Rev. Mark Botzet officiating and the Rev. Greg Paffel concelebrating. Interment will be in parish cemetery.

Visitation will 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Marilyn Mary Marthaler was born Nov. 1, 1956, in Sauk Centre, to James and Shirley (Minette) Marthaler. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1975, and furthered her education at Alexandria Technical College with an emphasis in accounting. She was united in marriage to John Nathe June 18, 1977, at St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union. Marilyn worked as a waitress at the Red Carpet, Hennington’s and the Hay Loft. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Marilyn enjoyed embroidery, bowling, fishing, canning, cooking and helping with farm chores, especially when it came to milking.

Survivors include her husband, John Nathe of Sauk Centre; children, Christina (Tom) Rousslang of Sauk Centre, Michael (Melissa) Nathe of Sauk Centre, Linda (Josh) Lieser of Sauk Centre, and Joseph Nathe (Reenie Goodwin) of Osakis; 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Daniel (Sue) Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Nancy (Mike) Thompson of Alexandria, Gary (Donna Imdieke) Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Carol (Roger) Engle of West Union, David (Mary Jo) Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Diane Mensen of Long Prairie, Joyce (Tom) Torvik of Rice, and Gerald (Kris) Marthaler of Sauk Centre.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Isaac; sister, Patricia Marthaler; and brother, Ronald Marthaler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
