Sandra Jean “Sandy” Kummer, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully June 12, 2024, at the Cura of Sauk Centre Care Center in Sauk Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 11 at the Sauk Centre American Legion in Sauk Centre.

Sandra was born March 7, 1939, in Raymond to John and Kate (Gerdes) Kluver. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1957 and moved to Minneapolis where she worked at Werner Transport. It was there she met her husband, Donald. They then lived in Tacoma, Washington, while Donald served in the Army at Fort Lewis. Returning to Sauk Centre, they purchased the family farm. She also worked at HEI in Sauk Centre for eight years and then joined her husband in owning and operating a small trucking company. Sandy enjoyed her garden and many flowers. She enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada in their float plane, and Sandy was also known for her love of dancing.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; two children, Brad Kummer and Jill Beste; two grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) Beste and Troy (Tricia) Beste; great-grandchildren, Phillipa, Beckett, Josephine, Winnie and Penny; sisters, Linda Border and Lois Engle; and brother and sister-in-law, George and Shirley Triewieler.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Henry Kluver, Harold Kluver, Ervin Kluver, Ione Hanson, Shirley Whitley and Dorothy Arne; son-in-law, Patrick Beste; and nephew, George R. Triewieler.

Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
